This section explains the technical components of big data and AI projects and the processes required to produce actionable insights. It is designed for technical and non-technical audiences from any potential stakeholder in an AI for Impact project. 

It consists of three sub-sections, which deal with the subject in increasing depth. The first two explore what big data and AI are and how they are closely intertwined yet different. The last section refers to a  Technical Considerations  paper that provides additional detail specific to the mobile big data processes and analytical techniques; outlines the practical steps involved in transforming data; and describes the data value chain. It also explains how mobile operators apply their expertise to add value to these processes in order to create reliable data-driven products.
